Terms of Use

1. Introduction

Welcome to Checkst ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using the Checkst mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.

2. Use of Service

Checkst is a flashcard and study application. You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

Checkst offers an optional "Pro Plan" (Semester Ticket) which enables Cloud Sync.

• Processing: Payments are processed securely via your Apple ID.
• Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• Data: We only store a transaction receipt to validate your feature access. We do not process financial data.

4. User Content & Cloud Sync

When you use our Cloud Sync feature:

• Your License to Us: You start your copyright. However, by syncing, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, and transmit your data (cards, images, text) solely for the purpose of providing the Sync service to you.
• Prohibited Content: You agree not to upload illegal content, malware, or copyrighted material you do not have the right to share.
• Storage: Your media files are stored in our secure cloud infrastructure (Cloudflare R2). While we take backups, you are responsible for keeping local copies of your critical data.

5. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Checkst or its developers be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the App.
